Most of the historical embroideries, from museum, residences or palaces are sometimes carrying time injuries. Vastrakala is owning this special ability to copy and restore any historical piece, keeping up with traditional style and techniques.

Thanks to an incredible knowledge of the embroidery's history and an impressive number of archives, each piece is always respected.

Embroidered decor for the Presidential Palace in Delhi – Stating together, by the motifs chosen, the plurality of indian traditions as much as the vivid youth of modern energetic India –Inspired by the architecture of the monument, by Edwin Lutyens

 

• MONTE CARLO OPERA

Identical reproduction of a sumptuous decor, invented by Charles Garnier, in a neo-Louis XV spirit – 126 years after its creation, with the base of old photos provided by the staff of the Opera, the whole decor made of valance for the princely box, the adjacent boxes and for the stage curtain had to be redesigned

 

• JEANNE LANVIN'S BEDROOM, MUSÉE DES ARTS DÉCORATIFS, LOUVRES, PARIS

Rare example of a bedroom of the 1920's hung with an embroidered material completely identical to the original – Embroidery made of chainstitch of white cotton and bronze metal threads on a blue shantung background

 

• NAPOLEON'S THRONE

Intended for one of the official thrones of Emperor Napoleon – Identical reproduction of techniques employed at the time of his reign

 

• MORITZBURG CASTLE

Restoration of rare wall panels, based on picture and existing samples from the 18th century
